iPhone 13 Rumored To Feature Larger Wireless Charging Coils, Could Support Reverse Wireless Charging

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 13 lineup is said to feature larger wireless charging coils than previous models, according to a new YouTube video by EverythingApplePro and Max Weinbach.

According to that video, the new, larger wireless coils would be a first for Apple’s iPhones and that could spell the arrival of a new feature.

That new feature could actually be one that was rumored way back before Apple announced the iPhone 11. Reverse wireless charging is a feature that would allow an iPhone to wirelessly charge another device, like AirPods. Apple didn’t add the feature to the iPhone 11 and despite claims the required hardware is inside iPhone 12 models, those devices don’t support it either. Could the upcoming iPhone 13 models finally offer reverse wireless charging?

3 months until launch! New & Exclusive iPhone 13 Pro Leaks! Final release date, price, 12S naming, Apple Watch Series 7 getting thicker, square body confirmed, thinner bezels, In-screen Touch ID & 3nm chips in 2022 & more!

With just three months before we expect Apple to announce the new devices, we’re expecting to see more details leak out as mass production begins and more people in the supply chain get their hands on devices. It isn’t clear where these latest leaks came from, but Max Weinbach does have a relatively decent track record with these things.

The good news? We shouldn’t have to wait too much longer to find out whether they’re on the money with this rumor, too.
