iOS 16 Beta 3 Download And Release Date: Here’s When To Expect It From Apple

Looking for the iOS 16 beta 3 download and release date for iPhone and iPad devices? Here’s when to expect it to be made available to developers, assuming past release dates are any guide.

Now that Apple has made the second developer betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 available for download, all attention has understandably turned to when we can expect the third beta to be released.

Apple doesn’t pre-announce these things, but that doesn’t mean that there aren’t things we can use to try and make sense of what Apple has planned.

If everything goes according to plan we can expect Apple to release these early betas every couple of weeks. That means, again assuming Apple follows its previous release cadence, that we should see the third betas arrive on or around Wednesday, July 7. That’s obviously a date that could change, and Apple isn’t saying when the update will be released. But that’s our best guess for right now.

July 7 is also the same timeframe when we expect Apple to release first public beta in the form of iOS 16 Public Beta 3 to those who are member Apple Beta Software Program.

While Apple will release its betas every couple of weeks for the next few updates, expect Apple to switch to a weekly release schedule as we get closer to the big update shipping to the public. That’s expected to happen in or around September, likely in or around the same week as when Apple makes the iPhone 14 lineup available to buy.

Around the same times as the iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 updates, expect Apple to also release tvOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, and watchOS 9.
