iOS 15 Beta 1 Download Expected Release Date: Here’s When We Think Apple Will Release It

Looking for iOS 15 beta 1 download expected release date? Here’s when we think Apple will release it to developers.

Apple’s WWDC21 event will kick off next week with an opening keynote streamed online on June 7. That opening keynote will see Apple announce iOS 15 among a raft of other announcements including new iPadOS, watchOS, tvOS, and macOS updates.

But it’s that iOS 15 update that most people are interested in. So when will it arrive? Apple’s usual announcement and release cadence mean that we will, as mentioned, see it announce iOS 15 on June 7. From that point we’ll see an initial developer beta 1 arrive on the same date for developers, with public testers getting taste of it couple of weeks later.

Then, it’s beta chaos. Over the next three months we’ll see bi-weekly beta releases – unless something goes very wrong and needs to be fixed sooner. And then, the public gets their hands on it.

Based on the usual format we expect Apple to release iOS 15 to the public as final release in the third or fourth week of September, a few days before we get the new iPhone 13 lineup in our hands as well.

The same goes for most of Apple’s other software releases as well, although macOS is the wild card here. Apple could well keep that one back a few extra weeks depending on how development is going.

For now though, it’s all eyes on WWDC21 and next week’s big announcement. We can’t wait to see what we’ll be using on our new iPhone 13 handsets later this year, too.
