Google Announces The Pixel Buds A-Series For Just $99

Google today announced the Pixel Buds A-Series earbuds, a new pair of inexpensive earbuds that will sell for just $99. Google says despite the price, we can still look forward to “rich sound” and the “iconic design” we’ve come to expect from Pixel Buds.

Set to go on sale in the United States and Canada on June 17 with pre-orders now open, the new Pixel Buds A-Series look pretty great and are available in Dark Olive and Clearly White colorways.

Looking good is fine, but Google says the Pixel Buds A-Series will sound great as well. We’ll have to judge that for ourselves when we get our hands – and ears – on a pair.

Our research shows that most people describe great sound as full, clear and natural. This is what guides our audio tuning process and shows up in other devices, like Nest Audio. And Pixel Buds A-Series are no exception. Custom-designed 12 mm dynamic speaker drivers deliver full, clear and natural sound, with the option for even more power in those low tones with Bass Boost.

Support for hands-free access to “Hey Google” is included, so you’ll be talking to yourself more than ever. You’ll be doing it for longer than ever as well, with Google claiming some impressive battery times.

Pixel Buds’ design is inspired by the idea that great things can come in small packages: Pixel Buds A-Series include up to five hours of listening time on a single charge or up to 24 hours using the charging case. And with the ability to get a quick charge — about 15 minutes in the case gives you up to three hours of listening time — you can keep listening anywhere.1

Now we just need Google to make these earbuds available in more countries. You can join a waitlist already, with more information on future countries available on the Google website.
