Full iOS 12.4 Jailbreak For A12 / A12X Devices Might Be Coming Soon

Full iOS 12.4 jailbreak Unc0ver for A12 and A12X iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and 2018 iPad Pro devices might be coming soon. Here are the details.

We told you recently that iOS 12.4 had gained partial support for devices that make use of Apple’s A12 and A12X processors. That partial support had caveats but a new series of tweets from developer Pwn20wnd shows that full support is in the works.

While we don’t know when that full support will be offered, if at all, the developer’s confirmation that it is a possibility is obviously good news for everyone who isn’t one for trying anything that involves jailbreaking an iPhone or iPad when the word “experimental” is used. And really, we can’t blame them.

Here’s what Pwn20wnd has to say on this:

According to Pwn20wnd, it’s possible that the team behind the jailbreak will be able to find a way to get Cydia and jailbreak tweaks working on devices without the need for kernel code execution, or PAC Bypass. The developer warns that there is a lot to do and that users shouldn’t hold their breath.

If you want to try the current experimental support for A12 and A12X devices, you absolutely can. We’ve already shared information on the jailbreak and a video tutorial explaining exactly what you need to do.
