Apple’s macOS 10.15 Catalina comes with a set of features, functionality, and improvements which are definitely going to appeal to Mac owners. Now, it’s also been discovered that Apple’s latest desktop OS also includes a stunning new wallpaper and you can grab it right now for your personal use.

Most Mac owners will be looking to Apple and macOS Catalina to revamp and overhaul their Mac experience and to bring some extremely innovative new functionality to the table.

Those users are extremely demanding and expect Apple to be continually pushing the platform forward. With that said, a lot of people who appreciate the beauty and power of Mac are also lovers of the visual and the aesthetic of the machine and software, which is why any new wallpapers or artwork included in new releases immediately appeals to them.

With macOS 10.15, Apple has introduced one new wallpaper offered in two variations. The new wallpaper is available with a light and dark theme applied to it but is not currently offered with a dynamic experience that automatically changes with the time of the day.

It does, however, comply with the Light Mode or Dark Mode setting on the Mac so users shouldn’t expect any issues there. Apple’s website shows a preview of macOS 10.15 Catalina and actually shows the wallpaper as being offered as a truly dynamic experience, which indicates that Mac owners should expect this to be in place prior to Apple pushing 10.15 out into the public domain.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the new wallpaper is a glorious capture of the location from which macOS 10.15 Catalina derives its name. This file has been pulled directly from the macOS 10.15 Catalina bundle and shows the gorgeous Santa Catalina Island, which makes the perfect backdrop for any Mac running macOS 10.15, or, for that matter, any Mac running an earlier version of macOS which wants to capture the look and feel of Apple’s upcoming desktop OS.
