Tips On Finding Long Lost Emails In iOS 7 Mail App

Ben Reid·December 16, 2013
Managing email on the go is a lot easier than it used to be thanks to the slick, practical interfaces of our smartphones and tablets, but as powerful as the apps and hardware may be, things can sometimes border tedious. Searching for an old email in the stock iOS Mail app is almost always a cumbersome affair if you happen to have forgotten those key search terms that would locate it with little or no trouble, but since you're stumped on that one, you're left hopelessly trawling through tens of thousands of old, mostly useless emails. We did some digging and it turns out that finding an old, important mail is actually not that difficult at all.

This Cool Contraption Can Lift Heavy Objects, Controlled From Your iPhone Or iPad [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·December 16, 2013
If you've ever been faced with the daunting challenge of having to lift up to 50 pounds of weight into mid-air, and suspend it there for a period of time, then you'll know it can prove difficult. Sure, if you have the right tools and equipment then the hassle and stress can be removed, but let's be honest here, who actually has a winch based system set up in their home or work place? Thankfully the worlds of Kickstarter, smartphones and Bluetooth LE have smashed together in a collision that has produced the myLIFTER, a smart and powerful lifting device that can be controlled directly from a Bluetooth 4.0 LE compatible iOS device.

iPhone 6 Concept With EYE ID Retinal Scanner Makes Touch ID Look Like Tech From Yesteryear [VIDEO]

Aatif·December 15, 2013
As if the existing concepts weren’t enough already, SET Solution has come up with a new one for the upcoming (next year, of course) iPhone 6 (or whatever it gets to be called in the end) - one that takes on a completely different subject, that of security. This new concepts shows iPhone 6 taking a leap further from Touch ID and integrating what SET is calling ‘EYE ID’ - a retinal scanner to provide security and safety on your iPhone.

iOS Vs Android: OS Fragmentation Compared Side By Side [Spoiler Alert: It’s Still Pretty Bad]

Aatif·December 14, 2013
The iOS vs. Android supremacy debate is almost as old as both the platforms’ own age, and it never ceases to be. In some areas, Android takes the top spot, while others see Apple’s offering outshine its Mountain View competitor. One area, however, where iOS has always maintained the upper hand, is fragmentation - the word that causes Android fans to hide faces and come up with other allegations against the fruity OS.

The iPhone / Android Controlled SmartPlane Is A Toy You Should Definitely Ask Santa For This Christmas [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·December 14, 2013
A short while ago, we checked out the incredibly cool - not a term I use lightly - smartphone-controlled paper airplane by the name of PowerUp 3.0. The concept was simple: make yourself a paper airplane, connect it to the precision-crafted hardware, and, using the app, fly it around for half an hour. With that product having raised over $600,000 (of a $50,000 goal) with many weeks still to go, another product has emerged to try to pique the interest of flight enthusiasts, and it's arguably even more exciting than the PowerUp 3.0.

iOS 7.1 Beta 2 Download For iPhone, iPad And iPod touch Released

Paul Morris·December 14, 2013
You can download iOS 7.1 beta 2 right now! Apple has today released iOS 7.1 beta 2 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch to individuals enrolled in the iOS Developer Program. The release follows on from the iOS 7.1 beta 1 that became available on November 19th, and although we aren't seeing any major new feature implementations, it should go some way to appeasing those users with significant stability issues. Apple has clearly been taking note of developer feedback over the last few months, with iOS 7.1 starting to seriously address a number of issues that have been plaguing users after its September launch.

Cut The Rope 2 Gameplay Trailer Released Ahead Of Big Launch [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·December 13, 2013
Of all the games to benefit from the smartphone boom, Cut The Rope has emerged triumphant. Despite the App and Google Play Stores both having popularized hundreds of great titles, a few, such as Angry Birds, Tiny Wings and Temple Run stick in the mind as stand-outs, and Cut The Rope must surely be revered among these other modern classics. As has been common knowledge for a while now, the sequel, appropriately entitled Cut The Rope 2, is incoming, and today, the first official game play trailer has been released.

Ben Reid·December 12, 2013
Apple's iPhone 5s launched back in late September alongside the so-called budget iPhone 5c, and although, as we know, first weekend sales figures were record-breaking, the trend largely continued throughout the month of October. According to a report by Counterpoint, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 both outsold the Samsung Galaxy S4 in the month of October, with Samsung's flagship sitting in third spot, while the iPhone 5c took fourth place in the worldwide sales race.
