Stefan Esser, better known within the jailbreak community as i0n1c, has teased via Twitter a snap of his third-generation iPad running Cydia on the brand new iOS 5.1.1 firmware. Interestingly enough, he did the same thing with iOS 5.1, but, as yet, the world has yet to see anything beyond a snippet.
Apple is clearly cracking the productivity whip in their iOS team offices and have wasted no time at all in producing and pushing out an update to their mobile operating system, taking the latest version to 5.1.1. While the latest release might offer some additional features, standard bug fixes and security patches, it also serves to keep the jailbreak development teams on their toes by forcing them to push an update where appropriate for their tools.
So then, that Apple TV's pretty cool right? Right, but you know what's really cool? An imaginary television that may or may not be in the works from a company that refuses to pursue the home entertainment line of products that it already makes.
With its thick veil of secrecy and unique approach to every product it creates, the fascination surrounding Apple is unmatched in the consumer electronics industry, and whether it's the latest iPhone or the memoirs of the late Steve Jobs, a large amount of interest always encircles the Cupertino company.
When iOS 5 was released last October, it brought with it a sleuth of features big - iCloud, Siri, and iMessage most notably - and small, such as the ability to assign individual text tones to contacts, for one. The Apple iPhone 4S has been with us for about seven months now, which means that we have also had the fabulous Siri personal assistant organizing our digital lives for the same amount of time. For those non iPhone 4S owners the lack of official Siri support has been very frustrating, especially considering numerous developers have proved that Apple's assistant performs perfectly fine on older generation devices.

We all know that the iPad is undoubtedly one of the most popular consumer gadgets of our time, praised from all corners for its beauteous design and advanced feature set. However, Apple has to live with the fact that it isn't possible to please all of the people all of the time. The physical form and technical advancements of the product are often talked about and complimented, but a lot of the native applications and user-interface techniques don't always sit right with all users.
With the Worldwide Developers Conference set to be held in San Francisco next month, the attending developers along with Apple device loving consumers will be keeping their eyes and ears firmly fixed on Moscone Center to see what innovations and updates the company will showcase.
