iBuyPower Steam Machine Is A Powerful Gaming PC Box With The Price Tag Of Xbox One

Oliver Haslam·November 26, 2013
Valve's Steam Machine initiative is an interesting one, even if we can't help but wonder about its longevity. Regardless, anything that shakes up the PC gaming industry is fine by us, and Steam certainly did that. Can the Steam Machines do the same? We'll have to wait and see.

Temple Run Movie Is In The Works, Harry Potter Producer David Heyman On Board

Ben Reid·November 16, 2013
It's becoming a rather familiar trajectory; game becomes popular on mobile devices, sells millions, makes a household name of itself, and then inks a deal to make a movie. Angry Birds already has a film in production due for release in 2016, and Temple Run, that Indiana Jones-esque running title that looked as if it was based on a movie in the first place, will also be hitting screens in the not-so-distant future. A Warner Bros. movie, the studio has enlisted David Heyman, producer of the immensely popular Harry Potter series, to take Temple Run to the box office.

This Call Of Duty: Ghosts Cut Scene Is Copied From Modern Warfare 2 [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·November 7, 2013
Call of Duty has come under scrutiny in recent years, with critics quick to point out that each new version is merely a rehash of the previous, and that Infinity Ward / Activision is simply milking what has certainly become something of a cash cow, and the $1 billion made in 24-hours is there to prove it. But now, as YouTube user satantribal has pointed out, there may be a great deal of truth in this claim, since it looks as though the same cut-scene from Modern Warfare 2 has been reused with the all-new Call of Duty: Ghosts. A side-by-side video clip from both titles has been thrown together by the YouTuber that you can check out below, although it'd be a little cruel on some if we didn't throw in a customary spoiler alert.

Paul Morris·November 7, 2013
The excitement around the launch of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One is beginning to reach fever pitch. The two consoles are all set to go head-to-head with one another for holiday shopping season supremacy, but for a lot of us the real delight is going to be in the gaming titles that will accompany the console hardware.

For the sake of wiping away any worry that you may have, we are happy to report that Activision hasn’t just been sitting on the profits from previous iterations of the title, but instead have been hard at work alongside Infinity Ward to produce the latest in the series. Incase you managed to miss the announcement, Call of Duty: Ghosts officially became available today and has been released alongside a companion mobile app that is available for Android, iOS and Windows Phone 8 devices.

We're now at the eve of what will more than likely be the second-biggest gaming release of this calendar year, and with Call of Duty: Ghosts almost at retail, Activision has released a live-action trailer featuring the lovely Megan Fox. The clip, which runs for almost two minutes, is entitled "Epic Night Out," and you can check it out right after the break!

EA Working On A Mobile Version Of Battlefield 4, According To EA’s Mobile Head

Aatif·October 22, 2013
Mobile gaming is on the rise, there’s no denying that, and with the increase in new titles popping up every other hour, it’s safe to say that this industry is not going anywhere any time soon. Things become even more interesting when you add a popular title that’s highly anticipated to the mix, and that’s exactly what we’re seeing with EA’s confirmation that they’re planning to bring their highly-cherished franchise, Battlefield 4, to the world of mobile gaming.

Original Grand Theft Auto 1 Game To Receive A 3D Makeover [Photo]

Oliver Haslam·October 19, 2013
It's safe to say that the Grand Theft Auto franchise is one of the most loved in the gaming industry. The game that kicked it all off, simply titled Grand Theft Auto, was originally released with just two dimensions back in 1997. Now, sixteen years later, it seems one of the game's developers has had a bad case of the nostalgias. In fact, Michael Dailly is feeling so nostalgic about the game that started it all that he's set about giving it a facelift by making the original Grand Theft Auto in 3D, just like its brethren.

Intel: GTA 5 For PC Is Happening Soon, Console Exclusivity Won’t Last Long

Ben Reid·October 11, 2013
We may yet to have heard anything official from Rockstar Games, the creator of the record-smashing Grand Theft Auto 5, but Intel has chimed into GTA 5 for PC release by suggesting that a version for Windows computers will indeed be happening at some point in the near future. We already heard NVIDIA's director of investor relations slip that the popular title would be hitting the market at some point later on this fall, and although it's hard to take anything as gospel until we hear it from the horse's mouth, it's certainly encouraging for the many millions waiting for that PC release.

GTA 5 Breaks A Mammoth Seven Guinness World Records

Ben Reid·October 9, 2013
Even after a lengthy push-back that saw the initial Spring release wind up being delayed until September, we always knew Grand Theft Auto 5 was going to be a success story. What we were not perhaps aware of, however, was just how successful, and in counting up some of the numbers just a few weeks after the initial launch, we can now say unequivocally that GTA 5 is by far the biggest title to launch on any digital platform. Ever.
