Facebook Finally Adds Twitter-like Hashtags To News Feed

Ben Reid·June 13, 2013
Facebook and Twitter are easily the two largest social networks in the world, but while the former commands the lion's share of a user base, both seem differential enough for folks to use both alongside each other. In recent times, however, we've seen Facebook borrow many features from The Twitters, and today, Zuck's team has added the famous hashtagging experience to Facebook.

How To Send And Receive Facebook Chat Stickers From Chrome Desktop Web Browser

Oliver Haslam·May 20, 2013
You can level all kinds of legitimate complaints at Facebook, but not iterating is certainly not one of them. The Facebook web interface is currently undergoing some big changes, with those changes being rolled out to users on a staggered basis. We've not got all of them ourselves, but one that we do have access to is Stickers.

How To Use Facebook Chat In Messages App On Mac OS X

Oliver Haslam·May 18, 2013
Facebook Chat is one of the most heavily used instant messaging protocols around right now, partly thanks to the fact that just about everyone on the planet seems to have a Facebook account. That, coupled with the fact that there are chat enabled Facebook apps for all the major mobile players means that it's not going to go away any time soon.

Facebook Home For HTC One And Galaxy S4 Now Available

Ben Reid·May 10, 2013
Whether you love or loathe Facebook Home for Android, its impact on the social networking scene cannot be denied. It's been a hot topic ever since the Menlo Park company sent out invitations to the 'new home on Android' event, and today, it appears as though the launcher has been tweaked to bring official support for the HTC One. Hitherto, anybody trying to install Facebook Home on the HTC One or Samsung Galaxy S4 would have been met with a "not supported" message, but while the latter appears still to be prompting users with the same pop-up, the HTC One seems to be installing without incident.

Facebook Trusted Contacts Feature Rolls Out, Lets Friends Help Unlock Accounts

Ben Reid·May 3, 2013
Facebook has just rolled out its brand new Trusted Friends feature, which will allow you to recover your account with a little help from your friends, should you find yourself inadvertently locked out. As when some folk leave their house keys with neighbors when they go on holiday and or in case of emergency, this feature will give between three and five friends access to your account should you ever forget your log in.

Facebook is something of a killer app on pretty much every platform, especially mobile, or otherwise known as ‘handheld devices’. That's why having a compelling Facebook app is a must for any mobile platform worth its salt, that's why Microsoft is working with Facebook itself in order to make sure that the social networking app is as awesome as possible on Windows Phone.

Mark Zuckerberg Stars In Facebook Home Ad For AT&T [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·April 14, 2013
When any company launches a new product, an ad campaign is just part of the process, so it should come as no surprise to see Facebook showcasing its new Facebook Home APK for Android launcher in an ad for exclusive carrier partner AT&T. What is rather surprising, however, is that the star of the "Launch Day" ad is none other than the social network's CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who, in excitedly attempting to gee his employees up for the big launch, finds the workforce unresponsive, instead completely immersed in the experiences offered by Home. Check out the ad itself after the break.

Facebook Home APK For Android Officially Released, Get Downloading!

Ben Reid·April 13, 2013
Although using Facebook on-the-fly isn't as terrible as it was a couple of years ago, that's not to say the service is perfect, and recognizing that the mobile presence of his social network is still in need of some new features, Mark Zuckerberg announced the Facebook Home for Android at a special press event last Thursday. Built for the purpose of offering Facebook users on Android a more immersing social experience, Facebook Home is fairly well stocked with useful features including Chat Heads, a unified interface for both SMS and Facebook messages to reside. Although support is limited at this stage, Facebook Home has just been released to the U.S. Google Play Store, and you'll find all the information you need to know right after the break. Earlier this week, Facebook Home APK was leaked onto the web and it worked on most devices.
