Job Posting Suggests Siri Will Branch To Other Languages Including Arabic, Dutch, Swedish

Ben Reid·November 21, 2012
Siri has been around for longer than a year now, and while some consumers - particularly those residing in North America - have found the voice-recognition software to be of some use, many other nations and continents haven't had such enjoyable experiences. Here in the UK, I still have to "put-on" an American accent in order for Siri to understand me first time, every time, but considering how little support there is in other places across the world, I count myself among the lucky few that can still have a little fun with the relatively new implementation.

We already know that the kids of today have their eyes firmly on an Apple product this holiday, but despite what Santa might say, it's not all about them.

It's not a new trend, either. Over the past few years, it's become increasingly clear the devices most sought by American youngsters between the ages of six and twelve are those Designed by Apple in California, with half of those studied pining for the larger Apple iPad.

Apple Now Selling Refurbished Products Through An eBay Outlet Store

Paul Morris·November 21, 2012
In the age of the internet that is packed full of inquisitive minds, it is extremely difficult for companies to keep things a secret or hide their intentions away from eager prying eyes and ears. Over the last week or so, we have been hearing murmurings that Apple were planning on opening up an official online eBay outlet store to gain some additional exposure for their officially refurbished products, and it looks like that additional sales channel is now in full swing, although there remains some question over whether it is actually operated and controlled officially by Apple or whether or not it is just an Apple sanctioned and approved reseller offering the refurbished goods.

This Is What iPad 5 May Look Like [IMAGE]

Ben Reid·November 20, 2012
Apple's market-leading iPad is becoming increasingly difficult for consumers to keep up with. At the beginning of this year, we were up to the iPad 2, but as 2012 draws to a close, we are already - rather extraordinarily - talking about the iPad 5. Apple dropped a bombshell on iPad 3 owners by announcing the iPad 4 last month, but ever since the tear-downs of the A6X device concluded Apple's rather wasteful design techniques, it has seemed only a matter of time before a thinner, lighter iPad emerged.

OS X 10.9 Will Feature Siri And Apple Maps, According To Report

Paul Morris·November 19, 2012

Currently sitting at version OS X 10.8.2, the operating system that powers Apple's Mac machines, if the reports prove to be accurate then it looks like the Cupertino based company is planning on making some major changes in OS X 10.9 that could see the company's digital Siri assistant and Maps integration being offered to users.

More Than One Million Apps Have Passed Through The Apple App Store Since Launch

Paul Morris·November 19, 2012
It's difficult to remember what the iPhone was like before the App Store even existed. Back in 2007 when the original iPhone was launched, the App Store didn't exist, and the only way to extend the functionality of the device was performing a jailbreak to install and run unapproved third-party applications and games. Apple quickly cottoned on to the extraordinary potential of an app marketplace and launched their official App Store in 2008, with it now being made known that one million different apps have been approved for download through the store in the last four years.
