New releases of Apple’s iOS always cause a stir, but with the removal of Scott Forstall and addition of Jonny Ive to the iOS fold, the next big release of the iPhone and iPad operating system is eagerly anticipated by many. Comedy site Funny or Die recently announced its intention to release iSteve, a feature-length movie based on the life of Steve Jobs. What with two further major upcoming cinema releases based on the late, great Apple co-founder, the idea of a Jobs-related movie isn't entirely new, but Funny or Die's effort should certainly be a lot more of a lighthearted take on the life and times of Mr. Jobs. Apple has just begun seeding the next installment of Mac OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4) to both AppleSeed testers and developers registered at Dev Center. The associated information offers very little in the way of detail, but considering this is just a minor number bump up from OS X 10.8.3, we wouldn't expect anything groundbreaking to reveal itself here.

Apple frequently files patents with the USPTO, and while many fail to bear any kind of fruit, some offer a unique insight into the company's future plans. A recently published filing is of particular interest, since it details a portable device featuring a wrap-around AMOLED display, built entirely from glass, and also including a face-tracking feature.
