You’d think that Steve Jobs would be running the latest unreleased version of iPhone OS on his iPhone but according to an email received by a 9to5Mac user from Steve Jobs, he seems to be running iPhone OS 3.1.2. His iPhone is listed as iPhone Mail 7D11 in the email header which means that he is running iPhone 3.1.2 instead of iPhone 3.1.3, let alone running the latest unreleased firmware.

The biggest barrier to iPhone adoption has always been the cost of the hardware, along with the service charges that comes from the carrier’s plan. According to Katy Huberty from Morgan Stanley - an industrial analyst, the hardware cost stops about 85% of people from buying the iPhone while the service plan stops about 66%. But all this is said to change come this June, when Apple is expected to unveil the next-gen iPhone.

Apple has announced the availability of iPhone SDK 3.2 Beta 3 for developers to make sure that their apps are ready for iPad, iPhone and iPod touch when the first batch of WiFi only models of iPad are released in the last week of March. iPhone 3.2 SDK Beta 3 brings lots of new API improvements and bug fixes. Members enrolled in the iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise Program can access the development bits for iPhone OS 3.2 Beta 3 for iPad by signing into Apple Developer Connection.

Well it looks like Apple has started banning iPhone hackers from the iTunes App Store. Sherif Hashim, the iPhone developer and hacker who recently found an exploit in the latest iPhone OS 3.1.3, which could enable the unlock on 05.12.01 baseband for iPhone 3GS and 3G devices has been banned by Apple for the so called “security reasons”. This is what Sherif gets when he tries to access App Store from his iPhone.

We informed you all yesterday about a Core i7 MacBook Pro, which was recently spotted in a Geekbench benchmark report. And now it seems like Apple may be set to launch one of these as early as Tomorrow. According to a French site named Nowhere Else, Apple will refresh its MacBook Pro lineup tomorrow just in time for the start of Macworld Expo.
