Yes, you read the article title correctly. Rather bizarrely, a company called GRAPHISOFT which is a part of the Munich based Nemetschek Group has commissioned and erected a bronze statue of the late Apple founder Steve Jobs in Budapest. For those who don't know (which I believe may be most of us in this instance) GRAPHISOFT are a developer of virtual building solutions and have operations rooted firmly in the United States, Germany and Japan but also operate throughout the world in smaller often neglected markets.
By nature, I am not a betting man. However, If I was I would be willing to bet that the majority of people reading this would have in no way suspected to see a trailer containing an evil version of Apples new personal assistant Siri. I would go even further in my assumptions by stating that no one would ever expect a Siri related post that draws comparison to the 1983 superhero movie Superman 3.
Some of you may have read my post yesterday regarding a problem being suffered at the hands of people using an Apple device running iOS 3.1.3, if not then you can familiarize yourself by reading it here so that this update will make more sense. In brief, a large number of of iDevice users has reported via the Apple Support Communities forums that when attempting to access the App Store via a device running iOS 3.1.3 they were greeted with a non functioning platform. Some users experienced a total App Store black out with no functionality whatsoever, whereas some could actually download updates to already installed applications but could not browse or purchase new apps.
Christmas shoppers looking to pick up something from Apple's online store are in luck, with the Cupertino outfit offering free next day shipping on all in-stock products.
Here we go again, folks! Apple has issued of multiple copyright infringement notice to Samsung in Australia based not for the hardware/software of a smartphone or a tablet, but for cases for these smartphones and tablets. Details after the jump!
Users around the world have reported in the last couple of days that purchasing and downloading applications from the iTunes App Store has become problematic for them, with what seems like an almost total block from the platform. It remains to be clarified what is actually causing the issue, and with no official word from Apple we can only speculate as to the cause but the problem is affecting a random selection of users, the majority of which are running older versions of iOS.
If you're a Batman fan - and let's be fair, aren't we all? - then you'll want to head on over to iTunes sooner rather than later, for Warner Bros has released the full trailer to the upcoming "The Dark Knight Rises" movie exclusively on Apple's online store.
In the latest round of Apple Vs. Everyone lawsuits that seem to be dominating the news of late, the iPhone maker has successfully managed to get HTC's Android hardware banned after the U.S. Trade Commission ruled in its favor. As of April 19th 2012, a ban on HTC's Android hardware will come into effect across the United States unless things change between now and then, of course.
When I first started using online accounts I created passwords to go along with them. At the time, they consisted of only five characters. I used the same word as a password everywhere online. After some time, I was forced to add some numbers to it. Later, I needed at least one upper case character. With one of the sites I use, I am forced to create a new original password every three months, making me scratch my head to think of something new.
Apple Inc. is renowned the world over for innovation. The company is a perfect example of the proverbial Phoenix from the flames story, with success in the last decade being kick started with the launch of the iPod range. Ten years and more than 300 million iPods later, it is rumored that the innovation is set to not only continue, but be taken to the next level with the possible launch of a wearable iPod device that accepts user input via Siri powered voice commands.
