In a new blog post today, he has announced that he has a working solution to jailbreak & unlock Phone 3GS, 3G, iPod touch 2G, 3G (new bootrom), and most probably the iPad as well. Unlock for iPhone 3.1.3 on 05.12.01 baseband is here, but not in the ideal way you would have liked. Some folks over at a Turkish shop have managed to successfully unlock an iPhone 3G, on OS 3.1.3, running 05.12.01 baseband via a hardware flash. They have also shot a 10 minutes video which shows the whole process of re-flashing the baseband back to 04.26.08. Video after the jump.
Steve – the guy who was behind PushFix 2.0 (the first real fix for Push Notifications) for unlocked iPhones has just released Blacksn0w RC2. This version of blacksn0w is basically a repackaged version of the original unlock released by geohot, and the fix which was recently released by MSFT Guy for 05.11.07 baseband on iPhone OS 3.1.3.
Sprint has launched a new advertising campaign which pokes fun at AT&T iPhone users who are limited to slow-3G speeds on the so called “the nation’s fastest 3G network”. The ad in question shows off the new Overdrive 4G Mobile hotspot which can be used with the iPhone and the upcoming iPad with 4G broadband speed where the speed averages about 3 to 4 Mbps.
Yet another update to Sn0wbreeze has been released. This new update version 3.1.3 V1.5.2 brings fix for 64-bit users who were earlier having problems using this software with their iPhone on 64-bit Windows machines. Also added in this version is more speed and reliability, and the package has now been reduced to just 18mb in size. Unfortunately though, Blacksn0w unlock for iPhone 3GS is still crippled in this version, but you can follow the fix posted here for blacksn0w to unlock 05.11.07 baseband on this latest firmware. If you have iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS or iPhone touch 1G/2G, you can use sn0wbreeze to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3.
Here is a simple how-to guide on running Windows Phone 7 Series emulator without having to run the entire Visual Studio 2010 IDE. If you have installed the development tools (including Visual Studio 2010 Express for Windows phone), you’ll notice that the .exe file for emulator (xde.exe) is automatically installed in C:\Program Files\Microsoft XDE\1.0\ location. Simply double clicking on Xde.exe file wont start the emulator as it requires some command line parameters.
Dan Ardelean of Mobile Development blog has managed to unlock the full experience in the pre-released ROM of Windows Phone OS 7.0 which shipped earlier this week with the development tools for Windows Phone 7 Series. The original ROM as released by Microsoft only allowed access to the web browser (Internet Explorer) and “Settings” but with this hacked .BIN file, you can get access to entire Windows Phone 7 Series experience that Microsoft didn't want you to see.
