The iPhone Dev-Team Members MuscleNerd and Planetbeing has confirmed that even though the unlock for iPhone 4 with ultrasn0w is ready and all, they will still do thorough testing in the next 48 hours to make sure everything is working before it is released to public. Most of you might have already know by now that an all-iOS device jailbreak called JailbreakMe 2.0 (Star) has been released. This new tool utilizes userland jailbreak vulnerability which enables it to jailbreak any iOS device on the latest firmware right from the Safari browser. The iPhone Dev-Team (Comex) has released JailbreakMe 2.0 (aka Star) which can jailbreak all iOS devices on their latest respective firmware like iOS 4.0 / 4.0.1. This does not work with iOS 4.1 Beta release. Since JailbreakMe 2.0 is a userland jailbreak, what this means is that you run it right in your iOS Safari browser to jailbreak the device. It cant get simpler than that !
Here is a quick update on the upcoming Comex’s jailbreak for iPhone 4 and iOS 4 / 4.0.1. It was only yesterday when we informed you all that Comex in an interview said that he is “almost” done with the jailbreak and now he is waiting for Saurik (the creator of Cydia) to complete the last bits which are required for the jailbreak.
Listening to an all-star podcast interview which involved iPhone devs like Comex, Planetbeing, Chpwn and iH8sn0w who are working on jailbreak and unlock scene, there was this question which the hosts asked the devs about when is the iPhone 4 and iOS 4.x jailbreak is expected to be out. While no specific release date was given, they did said that jailbreak is “pretty close to done”. They are now waiting for Saurik (creator of Cydia) to fix couple of loose ends before it is released. iPhone 4 unlock on the other hand is 100 percent done and is waiting for jailbreak to be released.

If his recent Facebook activity has to be believed, than Facebook’s founder and CEO might have just ditched his iPhone for Android. It was only last month when Mark made the headlines for switching to iPhone (it was 3GS, not iPhone 4) from BlackBerry. But the experience wasn’t all that great as he posted about his frustrations with the device, citing poor battery life, and phone calling quality. He also said that he will get the new iPhone 4 and see if that solves all his problems before switching to Android.
