Official Facebook App Adds 3D Touch Support For iPhone 6s

Paul Morris·October 12, 2015
Facebook has updated its native iOS app for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch to include the usual performance improvements and bug fixes. However, the social networking giant has quietly sneaked in a new feature that utilizes the functionality of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus - Quick Actions via 3D Touch. If you head on over to the Updates section of the App Store right now you'll be greeted with Facebook's generic and extremely repetitive change log blurb that doesn't really give any information on what's been introduced and what's been fixed in the latest version.

Kemoge Adware Can Root And Infect Your Android Device On Its Own

Paul Morris·October 10, 2015
A new strain of malicious mobile adware has yet again been discovered, and it seems to have the potential to cause some serious damage to any device that it sinks its teeth into. It seems that rarely a day or two can pass by at the minute without us hearing about a new form of infection on one of the world's most popular mobile operating system. Some are extremely malicious and can do serious damage, some are less so. This newly discovered strain, dubbed Kemoge, falls under the former category due to its ability to gain full access to the infected device.

Facebook Confirms ‘Reactions’ Feature For Expressing Emotions Beyond ‘Like’

Paul Morris·October 10, 2015
The world's largest social network Facebook has confirmed that a new feature called "Reactions" is officially being put through test in order to see how users interact with it. Users of Facebook have long wanted a "Dislike" button to be made available on the social network. After all, it seems a little unfair that you can "Like" a post, status update, photo, or comment, but you have no real way of showing dissatisfaction. Rather than integrating a "Dislike" button, Mark Zuckerberg has opted for a more dynamic feature that provides additional options to the end-user.

Apple Quietly Updates iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPad Air 2 With Bluetooth 4.2

Paul Morris·October 10, 2015
One of the great things about Apple's customer facing website is the length of effort and detail that is put into the product pages for individual device. Not only do the pages for the iPad Air 2, or the iPhone 6s for example, show high-resolution beautiful gallery images of the hardware, but they also go into a fair amount of detail on the included technical specifications so consumers know exactly what they are getting. It's rare that information on this page changes, after all, a specification is a specification, but at some point in the last two weeks Apple has silent updated the Bluetooth specification against a number of iOS devices.

Paul Morris·October 8, 2015
Sony has provided consumers who reside within the United States with yet another reason to choose its powerful PlayStation 4 over competing consoles. When Sony's fourth iteration of the PlayStation console was launched in late 2013 it was priced at $399.99, which is pretty much where it has stayed in the 22 months that's followed.
