Apple’s latest two edition to the iPhone range, the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus, have already proven that they are capable of holding their own weight in a saturated smartphone market. Pre-orders and opening weekend sales alone saw more than 13 million units flying off Apple’s physical and digital shelves, and that was only in the initial launch countries. As we approach the extremely busy and financially lucrative holiday shopping season, Apple is turning the heat up on those looking for a new smartphone by making the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus available in thirty-six more countries from today, six more to follow tomorrow, five more on October 16th and then six more on October 23.
We’ve been on the ball with this one. Apple may have its own internal release strategy that will see the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus introduced into countries as part of a staggered rollout, but we told you last month that the hardware was coming to forty-five additional countries starting today.
The list of countries that will benefit from the new iPhone models today is as follows:
- Czech Republic
- Isle of Man
As you might expect from customers in these territories who are extremely keen to experience the iPhone 6s and everything that it offers, certain countries are already starting to see queues forming outside of official Apple Retail outlets and licensed resellers of the hardware. Countries such as Taiwan, Sweden, and Denmark are already seeing fairly substantial queues being firmed by the hardcore elite iPhone followers, which is being shared on social media as part of the build up to the launch.
As mentioned earlier, in addition to entering into the above countries today, Apple also has scheduled releases planned for tomorrow, October 10, and next week on October 16. Tomorrow will see the hardware being made available for sale in Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. India, Malaysia, Kazakstan. South Africa, and residents of Turkey can expect to receive the new iPhone models on October 16. Consumers in Belarus, Guam, Moldova, Serbia, South Korea, and Ukraine will have to wait it it out till October 23.
If you live in any of the territories that will be getting the device today, which model will you be picking up, and in what color?
