With Microsoft desperately trying to market the Xbox One as less than a game console and more of an entertainment hub, getting content providers to jump on board will be equally as important as getting top gaming titles onto the machine and now one of the biggest players in the game is all set to stream TV content.

Oliver Haslam has written about technology for over a decade. His work has been published in print at Macworld and online pretty much everywhere else. If it plugs in or has a battery, it's fair game.
It's a title that almost invites allegations of casual sexism, but stay with us a little while and hopefully all will make a little more sense. See, you know how Facebook tracks usage of its service to the nth degree and then shares that with its advertisers in order to help target ads? Well, that same information can be used to try and extrapolate usage data for specific devices across specific demographics, which is where we get the information that leads to that title. Intrigued?
Android is already known for its less than rock solid security. In fact, thanks to its open nature and the ability to side-load apps from just about anywhere it's safe to say that Android can be a veritable minefield when it comes to keeping your device safe and secure.
Apple has been seeding various builds of OS X Mavericks 10.9.1 to beta testers and AppleCare employees for a few weeks now, and today the final shipping version has been made available as a free update for all Macs running the latest version of Apple's operating system, OS X Mavericks.
There's already little doubt that Microsoft will be changing things up with Windows Phone 8.1, the next update to the company's somewhat undervalued and under-adopted mobile operating system. With the war against Apple and Google being lost, Microsoft knows it needs to make changes.
Apple gets more than its fair share of stick for supposedly not being innovative enough these days, but that wasn't what everyone was saying when the iPhone was first announced in 2007. Offering what, at the time, was the holy grail of mobile telecommunications in something the size of a smartphone, the iPhone was a truly revolutionary device.
Apple is known for its attention to detail, and that focus on the little things is probably why it sells its MacBooks with power bricks that have flick-out wings for wrapping the cord around. It's not a big thing, but it's just enough to make lugging a notebook computer around just that little bit easier.
Microsoft's Windows Phone has failed to capture the hearts and minds of the great unwashed smartphone buying masses, even if it has managed to carve out a little corner of the sales pie chart to call its own. Unfortunately for Microsoft though, that little bit of market share isn't going to cut the mustard moving forward, especially with the acquisition of Nokia expected to move the mobile division of the Redmond firm onto the next step.
GTA San Andreas is now live on the iOS App Store worldwide. Download link can be found at the end of this post. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is undoubtedly one of our most beloved PS2-era games, which is why when we found out that Rockstar was bringing the game to iOS, Android and Windows Phone, we got very excited indeed. The thought of tearing it up in San Andreas while on our commutes just gets us all sweaty, and in a very good way.
Google's Nexus 7 is still one of the best Android tablets on the market, even after six months of being on the market. With half a year having passed and the competition still unable to topple it from its throne, Google's ASUS-made 7-inch tablet is getting something of a refresh today - but only if you're in the US, UK or Japan.
