Ben Reid·December 28, 2012
The Galaxy S IV is yet to be announced officially by Samsung, but given the popularity of Android's most successful smartphone series, it's not too surprising to see the blogosphere abuzz with speculation regarding the features of the Galaxy S III's eventual successor. We've heard various talk of 1080p unbreakable displays, CES announcements, and April release dates, but as yet, we haven't much of an idea of its aesthetic form. As we await our first leak, Russian blog rozetked has thrown up a very intriguing concept design featuring a laser keyboard, super-svelte form factor, and an edge-to-edge display, all topped off with a delicious helping of Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. Sound intriguing? We've got more juicy details - and a sumptuous demonstration video - right after the break!

Apple Reportedly Working On iWatch With Intel, Will Feature Bluetooth 4.0 And OLED Display

Ben Reid·December 27, 2012
The previous-gen iPod nano certainly whet the appetites of those dreaming an iWatch. For some reason, the idea of the wearable iOS device is something people seem to really yearn for, and although said nano was little more than a trumped-up, iOS-ified iPod nano with a separately-sold wrist strap, it gave us a glimpse, perhaps, into the future. Today, the iWatch rumors have been reignited once more, and as well as the possibility of a release in the first half of 2013, the speculators are touting a possible 1.5-inch OLED display, Bluetooth 4.0, and - get this - the involvement of chip-making extraordinaire Intel.

Steve Jobs’ $140 Million Yacht Impounded In Amsterdam Over Unpaid Bill

Ben Reid·December 21, 2012
Upon his untimely passing last year to pancreatic cancer, it was no secret that Steve Jobs died a wealthy man. Depending on which source you read, his net worth was said to have been in the region of seven billion dollars. Yet, the former CEO of the world's valuable company was never renowned for living lavishly. At keynote speeches, a bespectacled Jobs was seen in Levi Strauss 501 jeans, a polo neck, and New Balance trainers, so it may come as something of a surprise that he commissioned the building of a yacht in Amsterdam. As reported by Reuters today however, said yacht Steve Jobs has now been impounded in the Dutch capital, with designer Philippe Starck claiming he has not been paid all of his dues.

Safari Browser Almost Ended Up Being Called ‘Freedom’ By Steve Jobs

Ben Reid·December 21, 2012
Apple's Safari browser takes pride of place on every single Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod touch on the market, and although it is perhaps not as strong in terms of features as the likes of Google's Chrome or Firefox by Mozilla, it's the Web-surfing utility of choice to many. The thought process behind the naming makes complete sense, as it offers users something of a Safari across adventurous - sometimes dangerous - but immensely informative medium of the World Wide Web. It has emerged, however, that Apple's flagship browser was frighteningly close to being given the less flattering name of "Freedom" which, as well as alluding to countless famous songs, might well have rendered Apple the subject of ridicule.

Ben Reid·December 21, 2012
Flipboard is lauded in the mobile industry as a prime example of how the touch interface can make the gathering and reading of content as pleasurable as possible. The app flows like a magazine both aesthetically and functionally, and while Apple's iPad has been supported from the get-go, Flipboard has dragged its heels in bringing support for those on a wide selection of Android tablets. Today, however, the wait is over, and having only recently launched a series of new features for its iOS app, Flipboard has now been tailored to those wielding a tablet of the Google software variety.
