Delsey’s New Smart Suitcase Lets You Charge Your Phone, Knows Its Own Weight, More

Ben Reid·January 14, 2015
There has been a marked increase in smart products over the past few years, and at no point has this been made more obvious than at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week. As well as the usual spate of announcements and keynotes from the major brands, many fascinating products were on display, with a deluge of smart home products taking center stage. BlackBerry Commits The Ultimate Tech Faux Pas, Official Account Caught Using iPhone

Ben Reid·January 14, 2015
It has happened on so many occasions before, and it's always entertaining when it does. Celebrities ranging from chat show host Oprah Winfrey to tennis starlet David Ferrer have all been caught promoting Windows Phone and Android products from their beloved iOS devices, but now, an actual rivaling company to Apple has shot itself in the foot. BlackBerry, a Canadian firm that once dominated the smartphone arena with an iron fist, has tweeted out to its followers using none other than Twitter for iPhone - a fatal error that isn't going to have consumers swarming back to BlackBerry any time soon.

Apple Takes Steps To Prevent 14-Day App Store Refund Abuse

Ben Reid·January 13, 2015
A short while ago, Apple made a change to its App Store refunds policy in compliance with EU regulation, which means that consumers now get 14 days to refund a purchase they've made, no questions asked. But given how easily this is open to abuse - no less because many apps, especially games, can be completed in far less time - and it's no surprise that there have been concerns of some users steal apps at will. However, Apple has put paid to some of the concerns by rejigging the terms, and as of now, those refunding at a frequency that Apple deems to be "excessive" will be forced to waive their right to a refund.

Almost One Billion Users Are At Risk Due To Android’s Lack Of Security Updates

Ben Reid·January 13, 2015
Google's Android gets plenty of unwanted recognition for attracting malware, but given that it's used by more than one billion of the world's population while being famously open source, it's an inevitability that comes with the territory. The search company behind the ubiquitous mobile software faces a constant battle to ensure that security holes are fixed, bugs are squished and malicious attacks are thwarted, we're led to believe, yet according to a new report, the Big G has stopped pushing WebView updates that may leave some 900 million users susceptible to attack.
