Apple’s Fifth Avenue Glass Cube Store To Reopen Soon

Apple is known for producing some of the best looking, most intriguing store designs on the planet. After three years of work, the company’s Fifth Avenue retail store is now almost ready to reopen. And as you might imagine, it’s going to be pretty special.

In fact, it’s going to be so special that Apple promises that it will be a 24/7 space with the line “Always Open to Open Minds”. There’s currently no hard date for when the store will reopen, but progress is absolutely being made.

The three-year project has seen the store be completely rebuilt. Last night saw the store’s glass cube unveiled, with its windows covered with film that announced the upcoming opening.  One of the messages on the glass panels reaffirms Apple’s 24/7 plans for the space.

Beneath the surface of Fifth Avenue, you’ll soon discover a reimagined space where creativity is always welcome. A 24-hour store with doors open to the bright lights and big dreams of this city, ready to inspire what you can do, discover, and make next.

Inside, the store will feature the now familiar, huge Today at Apple video walls as well as a design that is more like a communal meeting area than a retail outlet. These new stores look stunning, although we’d still rather an old fashioned checkout system whenever we call in to pick up a Lightning cable!

During the last three years, Apple has operated a temporary store in the area. It’s expected that this temporary store will be closed once the new one is ready for prime time.
