Apple Working On (PRODUCT)RED Finish For Apple Watch Series 5 [Rumor]

Apple may be getting ready to announce a new Apple Watch Series 5 with (PRODUCT)RED finish. At least, that’s according to a new report by French site WatchGeneration.

The site is affiliated with MacGeneration which has previously been accurate with other reports, so when it says that it spotted a reference to an unannounced product in a database, it’s difficult to ignore.

…but we have everything to believe that such a model is in the pipes of the manufacturer: it briefly appeared in an Apple database, under a reference number different from RED bracelets… From what we have learned, it would be a Series 5, probably with the aluminum case, and branded RED.

Apple already sells plenty of devices and accessories that carry the same (PRODUCT)RED branding and many of them are super popular. Some are even already related to the Apple Watch, with bands of all shapes and sizes available. But this would be the first time that any watch has been branded as (PRODUCT)RED itself.

Of course, it’s important to note that none of this really means that there will absolutely be a new red product around the corner. But MacGeneration does have history – it spotted references to the 16-inch MacBook Pro long before it was announced. Could this be another example of that?
