Here’s How You Can Watch Apple’s September 1 Media Event Live Stream Video on Windows PC

So yea.. it was very lame on Apple’s part to restrict all users expect those with Macs and iOS devices for the live video stream of “Special Media Event” which will be broadcasted at 10:00 a.m. PDT (click here to see what time is it in your region) on September 1, 2010. But thanks to MacRumors, there is now a workaround which will enable all Windows and Linux users to watch the live video stream without having to own any of the Macs or iOS devices.

VLC on Windows

All you have to do is to download and install VLC player from here. Start the program and click on Media –> Open Network Stream and copy/paste this url:

http://devimages.apple.com/iphone/samples/bipbop/gear1/prog_index.m3u8

Now simply click on “Play” button to start playing the live stream!

UPDATE 1: If for any reason the above method doesn’t work for you, you can try this live streaming link here. [Thanks to Sandip of BlogsDNA for the hat tip via Twitter]
