Apple Music Is Offering 13 Free Audiobooks From Famous Musicians

Apple Music is offering subscribers 13 free audiobooks from “iconic musicians” as a way to help fill the time that we all seem to have nowadays.

Unfortunately, it appears that this is only offered to those in the United States at present. Hopefully, it’ll be made available to international users eventually. You can find the new audiobook offer in the Browse tab of the Music app.

Normally these kinds of audiobooks would sell for anything from $15 through $30 so there is plenty to be saved if you’re interested in listening to these audiobooks. Apple will surely hope that new audiobook lovers are born out of this deal, too.

The books currently available cover all kinds of music, with the following all represented as spotted by 9to5Mac.

  • Rakim
  • Questlove
  • Patti Smith
  • Pete Townsend
  • Tommy Lee, Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx & Mick Mars
  • Kim Gordon
  • Debbie Harry
  • Carrie Underwood
  • Russ
  • Kenny Rogers
  • Paul Stanley
  • Timbaland & Veronica Chambers
  • Bobby Brown & Nick Chiles

Apple isn’t as popular a destination for audiobook listeners as Amazon’s Audible, a service that has been around for a long, long time and has been sponsoring big podcasts for just as long.

It isn’t clear how long we should expect these audiobooks to be available free of charge so take advantage of it now if you’re keen.
