Apple Is Once Again Letting People Try On The AirPods In-Store

In what appears to be another sign of some semblance of normality, Apple is now allowing patrons to try on a pair of AirPods when they visit Apple Stores.

This only appears to be happening in stores in the United States and Asia right now.

The move comes after trying on AirPods was stopped as a precaution relating to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Apple now feels that itis safe to once again offer the testing facility to those looking to pick up its earbuds.

According to a Bloomberg report, some stores continue to operate as Apple Store Express, however.

Some stores are still operating using a system known as Apple Store Express, which essentially replaces the front of the store with bank teller-like windows. Those stores still aren’t letting shoppers try on AirPods. This is an important part of the in-person sales process because some consumers want to determine how well the earbuds fit or choose between the regular AirPods and AirPods Pro.

Some Apple Stores around the world are currently closed due to local lockdown rules depending on the pandemic situation there. The UK, for example, still has all of its Apple Stores closed while parts of France are about to follow suit.
