Amazon Is Already Discounting Apple’s New 2020 27-Inch iMac, With The Base Model Just $1,715

Apple has only just refreshed its iMac lineup but that isn’t stopping Amazon from offering some discounts right out of the gate. Right now you can pick up the base 27-inch iMac for just $1,715.54. That’s a saving of more than $83.

If you’re wondering where that strange figure comes from, it’s likely because Amazon has reduced the standard $1,800 price by 5%. giving us the rather odd $1,715.54. Sure, we’d have liked to have seen it rounded to $1,700, but we won’t complain.

Buy: New Apple iMac with Retina 5K Display (27-inch, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD Storage) from Amazon: $1,715.54 | Original price: $1,800

This particular iMac ships with a 27-inch Retina 5K display as well as an ultra-fast 256GB SSD. Processing power is catered for by the 3.1GHz 6-core 10th-generation Intel Core i5 chip and that’s paired with 8GB of RAM. Gigabit Ethernet, four USB-A ports, and two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports can be found around the back, too.

If you’re wondering just how new this lineup us, the fact that there are no reviews on Amazon yet should probably tell you. The refreshed iMac is super new, and it probably won’t be getting refreshed any time soon as well.

One thing that has been improved with this latest refresh is the FaceTime camera. Now, video conferencing fiends can enjoy 1080p footage, rather than the potato-cam quality iMacs have been dogged by in recent years.

There’s no indication when this price will come to an end, unfortunately. If an iMac is in your future, now is the time to order.
