A New 10.5-Inch iPad With A13 Chip Is Rumored For Spring 2021

Apple will launch a new entry-level iPad with a 10.5-inch screen and an Apple A13 processer inside, according to anew report by Chinese website cnBeta and spotted by iMore.

Said to be similar to the current iPad that Apple refreshed not too long ago, the new machine will reportedly gain a larger 10.5-inch screen while an Apple A13 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM will handle processing.

The device itself is said to be thinner and lighter than the previous model, although we don’t know by how much. The Home button and Touch ID will remain, too.

If Apple was to release a new iPad in Spring 2021 it would be arriving surprisingly soon after the last generation also saw its debut. However, Apple’s refreshes don’t always follow the same patterns they used to, so that’s worth keeping in mind here.

The same report also suggests that the slightly lower price of $299 will be offered, while storage configurations will begin at 64GB. That would be a doubling of the current 32GB base models offered today.

While all of this is happening we still don’t see any sign of the iPad mini getting any love. Instead, the iPad, iPad Air, and iPar Pro lineups appear to be Apple’s focus right now.
