Voicemod App For iPhone And Android Turns Your Voice Into Darth Vader, And More

Changing how your voice sounds isn’t necessarily anything new, but the iPhone just gained a new player that could be one of the best – Voicemod.

Previously only available as a PC app, the Spanish developers behind the app are expanding with an iPhone app in the App Store already and an Android version coming to the Play Store within a matter of days.

The app can take a person’s voice and turn it into all kinds of different people, not least Darth Vader. But the person you’re going to see the most of is T-Pain, someone who is very familiar with auto-tune. Voicemod and T-Pain have teamed up and there’s even a promo video including the man himself.

Right now the app is available for free with 12 of the 60 total voices offered up every day. That might suggest that there’s a paid tier coming – one that would unlock all voices and let users select them at will. A similar model is used in the Voicemod PC app, for example.

Paid or not, people can create clips of their altered voices that are up to 60 seconds in length. They can then be saved as videos and shared anywhere whether that’s social media or just with your friends. Voicemod uses artificial intelligence and all that good stuff to make its voices work, ensuring they’re some of the best around. You can take it for a free spin now.
