It apparently doesn’t take much for a video to go viral in 2019, but the latest Instagram video to take the world by storm is actually pretty great.
Shared by Mike Holston, the video shows a chimpanzee merrily scrolling through Instagram like a pro.
The video has already seen views in the region of the millions, and old-fashioned media outlets have even started to pick it up.
As you’ll see for yourselves, the one-minute video shows the chimp scrolling through Instagram on what appears to be a recent iPhone with an OtterBox case installed. He scrolls through Instagram with seeming intention rather than aimlessly tapping away, with swipes and such being carried out just as if the phone was in the hands of the most tech-savvy teenager.
We never thought we’d watch a chimp browsing Instagram and find it enthralling, but here we are, watching it on repeat. There’s one thing that does come out of this though, and it’s the fact that the interface designers over at Instagram should be pretty pleased with themselves. After all, a chimp working its way through the app with aplomb is a sure sign that the interface is intuitive, at the very least!
Check the video out and see what you reckon. We’ve seen young kids doing similar things before, but not so much a chimp. Now we have, and it’s a thing of beauty. Top marks to all involved!
