To celebrate the release of Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol in cinemas worldwide, Microsoft has released a cool Windows 7 theme on a mission to spice up those bland, plain desktops.

Rovio Mobile’s super popular Angry Birds series of games, which are available on just about every platform from Windows to the Nokia’s defunct Maemo OS, has received its own theme for Windows 7.

Microsoft today released a new theme titled “Justin Bieber: Never Say Never” for Windows 7. Justin Bieber is a Canadian singer and actor. He was discovered on YouTube back in 2008 and then, as they say, the rest is history.

We’re all excited about the prospect of a shiny new operating system from the wizards at Microsoft with its shiny user interface. If you just can’t wait to have that Windows 8 feel though, you’re in luck, thanks to a handy skin pack courtesy of one clever DeviantArt user.

On the eve of the biggest sports event of the year, Microsoft has released a 2010 FIFA World Cup theme for Windows 7 which includes 10 amazing high-resolution wallpapers to decorate your desktop with a resolution of up to 1920 × 1200 (HD quality). Theme is based on the latest EA SPORTS’ official 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa game for Windows.

Just found out this Visual Studio 2010 theme for Windows 7 and thought I should share it with you all. This theme includes 3 VS2010 wallpapers (wish they were widescreen), and has been put together by Rob Caron for all the .NET devs out there.

A DeviantArt member named fediaFedia is working on an awesome looking theme, which brings Metro UI to your Windows 7 desktop via Rainmeter software. It certainly is a very tempting theme, which is inspired by WP7S, and definitely worth a look. Even though it’s not ready yet for primetime use, thought we’d just share it with you guys.

Microsoft has been introducing beautiful theme packs for Windows 7 users via Personalization Gallery. After the inclusion of Coca Cola and Pepsi themes, ‘Nothing but 7up’ has been added to the official collection of Windows 7 themes. It is a fresh new theme based on 7up, a popular brand of a lemon-lime flavored non-caffeinated soft drink.

iPhone Theme Simulator is a neat little tool which enables you to test and design your themes for Winterboard app right on Windows PC or Mac without having to load it up each time on the iPhone just to test it. For those of you who don’t know, Winterboard is a free app available in Cydia which enables you to customize the appearance of your jailbroken iPhone in almost anyway you like.

Windows 7 Themes Gallery has been updated with three new themes – based on the original wallpapers pack from the upcoming Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6 release.
