Unfortunately, Cydia still doesn’t support the native multitasking / backgrounding feature which Apple introduced with iOS 4.x last year. What this means is that Cydia updates are installed whenever you start the app, followed by those annoying “Reloading Data” screens.

A new tweak Go Native, has been released. This is a free tweak which will allow you to run applications in the background natively, on the applications that don’t support it yet. The developer said that this is an alternative to the tweak Backgrounder, in case you want native iOS 4 multitasking for all applications.

But if you prefer Exposé style of multitasking in OS X, then Multifl0w is for you! We covered this app last year as well for iOS 3.x, but this new version which has just been released is compatible across all iOS based devices, including iPad on iOS 3.2.x and iPhone on iOS 4.x.

Big news for iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G users! After learning about iPhone OS 4 jailbreak news earlier today, some iPhone devs/hackers have now apparently managed to enable multitasking on the older iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G, both of which were limited by Apple due to lower amount of RAM on these devices. This is what a recent tweet from an iPhone dev said.
