Enhance iOS Screenshot Taking Ability With ClipShot

Ben Reid·January 23, 2014
The screenshot feature of iOS is fairly easy to use. You hold the Home button and the sleep button simultaneously, and voilà, your screenshot is saved to the Camera Roll. The only real caveat with this, is that you can only save it to your Camera Roll. Sometimes, there's a good reason for screen-shotting things, but they tend to be a short-term requirement and, when going back through your weird and wonderful images, those old screen captures have accumulated to little more than spam. Luckily, a new tweak named ClipShot alleviates this problem, and you can catch the details of how it works right after the leap.

HideMe7 Is Your One Stop Shop To Remove UI Elements From iOS 7

Ben Reid·January 23, 2014
The Cydia Store is awash with various little tweaks for modding various elements of the iOS interface. But like Springtomize, which essentially encompassed 20+ different tweaks in one hit, HideMe7 looks to be the one-stop hunt for anybody looking to hide segments of iOS 7 that they do not want to see. Even at its current initial-release state, it's already pretty extensive, and if you like to keep things as subtle, understated and minimal as feasibly possibly, this is one you'll want to be checking out.

Ayecon iOS 7 Theme For iPad Now Available

Oliver Haslam·January 22, 2014
When iOS 7 was jailbroken one of the first things everyone got excited about was the prospect of being able to re-skin their iPhones and iPads. With the new look that iOS 7 brought with it, the need to customize it became a big deal for some, and the theme they all wanted was Ayecon.

iOS 7.1 Beta 4 Partially Patches Evasi0n7 Jailbreak, Evad3rs Won’t Say

Ben Reid·January 22, 2014
The jailbreak scene is one long cat-and-mouse battle between Apple and the hackers that make the exploits possible, and whenever a jailbreak does become available, such as the Evasi0n7 untether, the onus is then upon Apple to plug the holes. Whereas once upon a time, we'd see an update within the week to patch the jailbreak, things haven't been quite like that this time around, but although the third beta of iOS 7.1 firmware came back negative, so to speak, it looks like Apple has begun patching the exploits with the just-released fourth beta.

Animer7 For iOS 7 Released, Lets You Customize App Switcher And Banner Animations

Ben Reid·January 21, 2014
It's fair to say that, with iOS 7, animation is a much more prevalent feature than ever before. But thanks to the closed-source nature of the Apple firmware, customization is about as non-existent as it has ever been, but thanks to the wonderful work of the jailbreak community - namely, the Evad3rs team with their Evasi0n7 utility - we can actually now tweak the animations way beyond what we could have imagined at stock level. The Animer for iPhone tweak has been around a while to facilitate this, and in news that will certainly appease long-time users and jailbreakers, it has just been updated for iOS 7.

‘Random Icon Flip’ For iOS 7 Released, Brings Home Screen App Icons To Life

Ben Reid·January 19, 2014
Although, thanks to the most recent major update, the iOS home screen isn’t as boring and uneventful as before, it still draws criticism for its one-dimensional nature and general lack of customizability. Even with a jailbreak, you’re never quite going to be able to enjoy the eclectic mix of launchers, widgets and multiple home screens a la Android, but thanks to the recent work of Evad3rs, you can bring a little bit of life to your home screen. Random Icon Flip, as you will probably have gathered, will flip random icons around for no other reason than aesthetic enjoyment, and although it is almost as pointless as it sounds, does help to rejuvenate the otherwise monotonous view. Originally released back in 2011, the tweak now has received an update, bringing with it support for iOS 7, Apple’s latest and greatest mobile OS.

Signal Booster For iOS 7 Released, Aims To Improve Signal Strength On Your iPhone

Paul Morris·January 19, 2014
Battery life and network signal strength received by the iPhone is definitely up there at the top of legitimate concerns that users have, and thankfully both can be addressed in some form. Signal Booster, a package for jailbroken iPhones, has just been updated to support modern hardware, meaning that there could be some level of improvement for those who are facing signal problems, regardless of version of iOS which the user is running.

How To Add Native WhatsApp Sharing Option In iOS 7 Share Sheet

Oliver Haslam·January 19, 2014
While it's true that Apple has worked to make inter-app sharing of data a more complete experience in iOS over the years, there's little arguing that Google's Android is the current leader when it comes to letting apps talk to each other. Apple's walled garden makes sharing photos, snippets of text and other data much more complicated than it needs to be, no matter how much it has improved.

How To Pin Favorite Contacts In iOS 7 Notification Center

Oliver Haslam·January 18, 2014
We'd argue that Notification Center is still something of a missed opportunity for Apple. Since it was introduced we've all hoped that the company would add new features to the pull-down shade that makes it more useful, but despite promising signs here and there it seems that Apple is blind to the possibilities that could be afforded by opening Notification Center up to developers.

BioLaunch For iPhone 5s Smartly Launches Your Favorite App Using Touch ID

Oliver Haslam·January 18, 2014
As soon as iOS 7 was jailbroken, Cydia was opened up to the inevitable plethora of iPhone 5s-only tweaks. By that, we obviously mean tweaks that use the iPhone 5s's Touch ID fingerprint sensing system, and with it being such a prominent feature it was really only a matter of time before jailbreak developers started to use it in some interesting ways.
