MuscleNerd Talks Evolution Of The iPhone Baseband And Unlocks At HITBSecConf2012 Amsterdam

Ben Reid·May 24, 2012
MuscleNerd is one of the most prominent members of the jailbreak community, and his vast knowledge has helped the iPhone Dev Team continue to update and improve its Redsn0w utility in the progressive cat and mouse battle. Apart from jailbreaking, MuscleNerd and other Dev Team members continue to dabble in the unlocking game as well, and with the Cupertino's sought-after device mostly sold subsidized - i.e. locked under a contractual agreement with a carrier - there are plenty of iPhone users on the lookout for an unlock.

iPhone 4S Has Been Jailbroken By Dev-Team, Public Release Still Far Away [SCREENSHOTS]

Awais Imran·October 28, 2011
Unless their chipset has already been exploited and jailbroken on a previous device, it takes a lot of time for the iOS jailbreaking community to come with a jailbreak for a new iOS device. The iPhone 4S and iPad 2, both of which are based on a still (bootrom) unexploited dual-core A5 chip, haven’t received a jailbreak for iOS 5 yet, but it appears that they’ll be getting one soon as a certain eminent iPhone hacker has let us know that the iPhone 4S has already been jailbroken with a jailbreak for iPad 2 in the works.

iOS 5 Beta 4 OTA Update Wont Work On Jailbroken iPhone, iPad, iPod touch

Goncalo Ribeiro·July 23, 2011
If you've been following the news for the last few hours, you're probably aware that the latest build of iOS 5, known as "Beta 4", was seeded to developers. This is also the first ever version of iOS that can be downloaded over-the-air to iOS 5 Beta 3 devices, removing the need for iTunes to apply this update altogether. It now turns out that if you've jailbroken iOS 5, you won't be able to update over the air.

iOS 5 Jailbreak Wont Be Affected By Over-The-Air Updates, Says The iPhone Dev-Team

Goncalo Ribeiro·June 7, 2011
According to a tweet posted by @MuscleNerd, a member of the iPhone Dev-Team, which has authored many jailbreak-related tools and tutorials, iOS 5's new automatic over-the-air updates shouldn't make jailbreaking harder.
