Apple has delivered in the hardware stakes at today's WWDC, and after running through many new little quirks of iOS 6, iOS chief Scott Forstall has shown off a brand-new feature/app called Passbook, which looks to be the fruit of the rumored Organize app.
As anticipated, Apple has announced its very own, completely rethought Maps app to replace the long-serving Google offering, and as equally foreseen, it's got the hallmarks of a truly great new feature. The days of relying on a city's A-Z are long gone in this digital age, and although it has taken a few more years than Apple would perhaps have liked in order to develop, iOS Maps is now well and truly in the pipeline.
Having the ability to change the Springboard wallpaper on Apple's iOS devices was an addition that was certainly welcomed by users when the Cupertino company introduced iOS 4 in 2010. Have you ever felt that you are in a no-win situation when trying to have a conversation with Siri? After all, Apple advertises their digital assistant as being 'intelligent', but considering you have to tell her/him/it when you want to talk, it doesn't seem that it’s enabled all the time for me. For those who are wondering what I am talking about, having a back and forth conversation with Siri is the equivalent of waking a friend up to tell them something, only for them to fall right back to sleep when you are done.

Considering we have recently been seeing a lot of speculation surrounding the rumored deep integration of Facebook into iOS 6, I am not entirely sure whether the recent release of the FacebookThis tweak has been put together to take advantage of the current hype or is entirely coincidental. Either way, the package is available in Cydia now for jailbroken iOS 5 devices and allows users to post images directly from within the Photos app to their Facebook timeline.
