Apple Watch will get support for video playback with watchOS 2 scheduled for release this fall. Maybe then we'll see Hulu and other apps adding support for video playback capability on the Watch. For now though, you can use the updated Hulu app for iOS to remote control playback of Hulu content right from their wrist.
