Apple has, in years gone by, held various 'Tech Talk World Tours' aimed at giving its developers a more in-depth view on new technologies. iOS 5, the company's latest mobile operating system, will be the next taken on an education spree from Berlin to Beijing, Seoul to Seattle.
Oh Samsung, why do you do it to yourselves? As if having more lawsuits going on than The Pirate Bay wasn't enough to contend with for one day. The Korean firm has now managed to put its foot in it once more, this time when showing off its new media player, the Galaxy Player 5.0.
Minutes after Apple released iTunes 10.5 to the paying (well, it's free, but you get the idea) public, they have now gone out and released a completely new beta to developers. That's right, iTunes 10.5.1 Beta 1 is in the wild folks, and it's all iCloud-tastic.
Apple has filed a patent for in-app purchases that, if granted, could be used against competitors like Google and Microsoft, Redmond Pie has learned.
With final version of iOS 5 now available, there's no surprise that many of you might be looking to upgrade your iPod touch, iPad or iPhone as soon as possible, but there are often reasons not to upgrade, such as the availability of certain jailbreak tweaks and last-minute bugs that might have slipped by Apple's testing. If you have already upgraded, good news: you can downgrade your device back to iOS 4.3.5, 4.3.4, 4.3.3, 4.3.2, or 4.3 in a matter of minutes. Don't know where to start? Then read on.

Social networking giant, Twitter, could have provided yet another clue as to the potential release date of the much awaited fifth release of Apple's iOS software. According to a new press statement released today, Apple will be resetting iCloud backups on September 22nd to gear up for iOS 5 GM. The news comes from a statement published on Apple’s Developer Board which says that all data backed up by beta-testers on iCloud servers will be reset (i.e. deleted) on September 22nd. No reason has been given for why this is being done, but we have reason to believe that this is an indication that we’ll see the Golden Master release of iOS 5 very soon, perhaps as soon as September 23rd.

The iOS jailbreaking community is, I personally believe, the most active mobile OS hacking community today. The community itself is pretty small, but they are pretty productive and regularly release jailbreaks (untethered or otherwise), exciting new tweaks on Cydia and amazing themes. This may be due to the fact that iOS works only on a handful of devices, but the fact is: these guys are simply amazing.
