Apple Releases iOS 26.6 Beta 2 To Developers

Apple today released iOS 26.6 beta to developers, a week after it also made the first iOS 27 beta available to the same group of people. Beta two also arrives around three weeks after the first iOS 26.6 beta was released to developers.

The new build, number 23G5043d, is available for download now, and while we don’t know for sure when the third beta will be released, we expect it to be another two or three weeks based on this current cadence. Apple is also likely keen to move more focus onto the iOS 27 beta, too.

The iOS 26.6 update doesn’t bring any new features to the iPhone, but instead likely deals with bugs and other issues that need to be addressed.

The next big feature update is, of course, iOS 27 and that is expected to be released in public beta form next month. The final update will then be released to the public this fall, likely in September.

September is also expected to see the release of the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Current rumors also suggest that Apple will at least announce its first foldable iPhone in the same month. The so-called iPhone Ultra may not ship until the following month, according to recent rumors, however.
