Spigen’s New iPhone Cases Mimic iMac G3, iPhone 2G Designs, Mercedes Joins The Case Fray As Well

Some people cannot imagine anything worse than covering their shiny, arguably gorgeous iPhone X up with something as uncouth as a case while others wouldn’t be able to sleep at night if their phone wasn’t covered in something that was capable of keeping it safe.

With the plethora of iPhone cases that are available to buy right now, there is absolutely no reason for anyone to choose between looks and security and two new sets of cases show that off particularly well. One is from Spigen, and another is a company that you may not be expecting to have a case available at all – Mercedes.

Starting with the one that makes most sense to us, we have the Spigen Classic C1 cases, which are clearly based on the iMac G3 that we all know and love. Complete with colored plastic that immediately resembles those great Macs of old and with faux internal parts visible from the back, these cases are the obvious choice for anyone who, like us, loves their nostalgia.

If you prefer something a little more contemporary, the iPhone 2G-inspired case is likely most appealing to you, and why not? If you ever wanted to make your $1000 iPhone X look like something from the early days of the iPhone, then this is most definitely the case for you.

The bad news is that both cases are available via Indigogo only, and we’re not really sure why that is the case. Both cases are expected to ship in June, though, and at $35 for the pair, that’s not a bad little bargain at all.

Moving onto something that is unlikely to represent a bargain, we have cases from Mercedes. Available in iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, and of course, iPhone X flavors, the cases are part of a new line that will include all manner of accessories, although these are undoubtedly the most interesting.

These cases are currently available from here starting at $29.99.
