PUBG Mobile 0.5.0 English Version Released As Season 2 Begins

Great news PUBG Mobile gamers, it’s time to rejoice! The team behind the critically acclaimed title has finally removed the shackles from global version 0.5.0 meaning all iPhone, iPad, and Android smartphone and tablet users can grab the latest update right now. This release comes right after season 1 ended and season 2 of PUBG Mobile began.

Global availability of version 0.5.0 definitely feels like it has been a long-time coming for most PUBG Mobile gamers who are based outside of China. Residents of China, and gamers in that region, have always received new versions of PUBG Mobile ahead of global gamers, which means that it has become the norm.

However, version 0.5.1 was released into China almost five weeks ago now, which has left global PUBG Mobile gamers chomping at the bit in order to get their hands on the latest improvements and features which have been enjoyed in that region for quite some time now. Finally, that time is here.

With this release, global gamers are finally going to get some parity between the version that they have access to and the features and functionality offered in the main Chinese version of the title. This includes the availability of the relatively new desert “Miramar” map, which includes a slew of new guns and pistols for gamers to sink their teeth into.

The team behind the release has also focused on the gaming visuals and overall experience, bringing a buttery-smooth 60 frames-per-second and enhanced audio to ensure that gamers feel as fully immersed in the environment as is humanly possible. Gamers will also benefit from new modes of play and enhance gaming mechanics which should hopefully keep them playing on a more frequent basis.

The official PUBG Mobile Twitter account recently teased the upcoming availability of version 0.5.0, so it’s no real surprise that the covers have finally been lifted and the game has been released to the iOS and Android platforms across the globe.

The release also means that it’s onwards and upwards as far as versioning is concerned, which should allow the team to now focus on getting the next version into beta and getting it into a position where it can be released to the public to further shorten the gap between the versioning of the Chinese release and this global release.

Head on over to the App Store and Google Play Store right now to grab the latest 0.5.0 version as an APK file or iOS app update.
