Samsung Announces AI-Laden Galaxy S24 Lineup, Here Are The Details

2024 might only be a couple of weeks old but we already have three new flagship phones from Samsung, with the Galaxy S24 lineup now official.

Samsung announced the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra as part of its Unpacked event today.

AI is undoubtedly a focus for Samsung here and it’s brought Galaxy AI to all three models. The software is designed to do a variety of things including live translation of real-time voice and text and an interpreter feature can help two people have a conversation in different languages.

Chat Assist is another new feature that can help users reach the right conversational tone with AI built right into Samsung’s keyboard so you can do more text translation.

Samsung has also worked with Google on Circle to Search, a new feature that will let people highlight or tap on items on the Galaxy S24’s display to search for them. And as you’d expect, the range-topping Galaxy S24 Ultra uses Samsung’s new AI smarts to take better photos with its 50-megapixel 5x zoom lens.

In terms of specs, the high-end Galaxy S24 Ultra comes with a 6.8-inch display while the Galaxy S24+ has a 6.7-inch display. The smaller Galaxy S24 reaches 6.2 inches to give buyers plenty of room for choice. It’s that Galaxy S24 Ultra that everyone will want though thanks to its use of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 platform not to mention the biggest display. It also comes with a 2,600-nit peak brightness while all three displays have 120Hz variable refresh rates.

In terms of pricing, the Galaxy S24 Ultra starts at $1,300 with the Galaxy S24+ kicking off at $1,000. Those choosing the standard Galaxy S24 can pay as little as $800.
