You Can Pre-Order iPhone 5 Right Now!

With the announcement having already been and gone with respect to the iPhone 5, it’s now time for prospective buyers to brace themselves for the usual frenzy. The Cupertino company’s most prized of assets is available to pre-order right now in 9 launch countries including United States, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore. It will be available in more countries starting September 28th. By December this year, iPhone 5 will be available in more than 100 countries around the world.

Given the mess Apple made of last year’s iPhone 4S online pre-orders (the site went down for a whole 45 minutes), here’s to hoping everything goes smoothly. Of course, the shenanigans of last year didn’t seem to mar the release of the iPhone 4S, which sold in record numbers, but it did see many opt to pre-order through carrier partners instead. Should such an eventuality occur once more, it’s worth noting that Verizon, Sprint and AT&T are also taking pre-orders in U.S. right now. Shipping starts on September 21st.

iPhone 5 is the first iPhone to pack in 4G LTE, and with the larger display also a first, don’t be surprised to hear about people selling kidneys to get hold of one.
