iPhone and iPod touch users currently have to slide-in and enter a password(if enabled) in order to unlock the device. But now you can also unlock your favorite gadget just like the way you do on an Android phone like Droid and Nexus One. For the latter, you have to connect 9 dots in some custom specified way to unlock your phone.
Apple iPad was unveiled by Steve Jobs yesterday in a mega event held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. In a nutshell, the iPad is a larger iPod touch with an additional iBooks Store and iWorks suite of apps. With iBooks, Apple is surely taking Amazon’s Kindle head-on with their own offering – the iPad, which besides reading, can do things like playing games, access social networks, display photos, videos, web browsing and a hell alot more.

Overwhelmed with joy and success, Apple CEO Steve Jobs unveiled the much talked about device, the iPad, in front of the appreciative audience who were already at fever pitch at the event held at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco. Steve Jobs took the stage promptly at 10:00 AM this morning and received thunderous applause from the crowd for what he claims to be the most important thing he has ever done in his life.
As was predicted, CEO of McGraw-Hill has confirmed in an interview to CNBC today that Apple is going to announce their Tablet on 27th and it will run on iPhone OS. Terry McGraw, who is the CEO of the famous publishing company further went on to confirm that they “have worked with Apple for quite a while” and that it will be based on the “iPhone operating system”.

Everyone is anxious waiting to know all about the eagerly awaited Apple Tablet device aka iSlate/iPad/iTablet. It is highly expected to be announced at the Apple media event on 27th January 2009 in San Francisco. Previously, a number of ‘supposedly’ leaked photos and videos of iSlate caught our attention. Folks over at AllDroid have managed to overclock the Motorola Droid phone to 1.1Ghz, hence making it faster than the “stock” Nexus One which is powered by 1Ghz Snapdragon processor. The test was carried out by testing Droid with different clock speeds (800Mhz, 900Mhz, 1Ghz, 1.1Ghz) after which it was found to be running most stable at 800Mhz.
A Chinese site by the name of QQ (QQ.com – English translated version) claims to have got hold of the specifications for the successor to HTC HD2. According to them, HTC HD3 will launch in November 2010 (exactly one year after HD2) and will be powered by Windows Mobile 7. Moreover, it will feature Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor, a 4.5’’ HD display, HDMI port, support for 4G, WiFi and WIMAX, 8 megapixel camera with support for 720p HD recording, 16GB internal memory and 32GB external via microSD card.
