Everyone is anxious waiting to know all about the eagerly awaited Apple Tablet device aka iSlate/iPad/iTablet. It is highly expected to be announced at the Apple media event on 27th January 2009 in San Francisco. Previously, a number of ‘supposedly’ leaked photos and videos of iSlate caught our attention. The designer turned blogger Dustin Curtis has uploaded pictures of Apple Tablet on a Macbook Pro which can be seen in the images below.
Just found out this Youtube video floating around the web which shows the rumored Apple Tablet device being listed on the Canadian version of Apple site i.e. Apple.ca. Even if the video is doctored, it is done well and maybe worth checking out. Video after the jump.
A Chinese site by the name of QQ (QQ.com – English translated version) claims to have got hold of the specifications for the successor to HTC HD2. According to them, HTC HD3 will launch in November 2010 (exactly one year after HD2) and will be powered by Windows Mobile 7. Moreover, it will feature Qualcomm’s 1.5Ghz Snapdragon processor, a 4.5’’ HD display, HDMI port, support for 4G, WiFi and WIMAX, 8 megapixel camera with support for 720p HD recording, 16GB internal memory and 32GB external via microSD card.
Microsoft has just released Silverlight 4 based facebook client for both Windows and Mac OS X. Back in April last year, Microsoft showed off a proof of concept facebook client which was made using facebook’s Open Stream API on Silverlight but unfortunately that never saw the light of the day. After a long wait, they have finally released a fully working client for users running Windows and OS X – with full capability to run it out-of-the-browser.
Most of you who are either following me on twitter, or are subscribed to our facebook fanpage may already know that I bought Nexus One today and just to make it a bit different, I decided to unbox it side by side with another similarly spec’ed phone – the HTC HD2. Both Nexus One and HTC HD2 are powered by 1Ghz Snapdragon processor.

The developers behind the popular iPhone game Touchgrind has published a video, which shows off a Mac version of the game, run and controlled by utilizing the multitouch capabilities of MacBook Pro’s mouse trackpad. This version of Touchgrind for OS X is only a technical demo and requires the newer MacBook’s with multitouch capable mouse trackpads.
The Windows Mobile enthusiast site named WMPoweruser has learned that HTC Obsession, which we reported about earlier is set to launch later this year on AT&T and T-Mobile US as HTC Diamond3. Their report confirms that the smartphone is scheduled to ship sometime in June this year, however this date is likely to slip to Q3/Q4 launch in 2010.
Google Ads on Youtube has once again leaked info on an upcoming product. This time its about Nexus One Dock, which was first spotted back in December via a FCC filing last year. The ad reveals the price of the dock along with other capabilities for the Google Nexus One phone which is manufactured by HTC.
Microsoft’s CEO Steve Ballmer visited Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville the other day where a student asked him to sign his MacBook Pro. Ballmer, in his usual way signed the Mac right on the Apple logo with words which read "Need a new one? - Steve Ballmer”.
