Finally! the wait is over! Google has officially started rolling out the final version of Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Nexus One users. This OTA (over-the-air) rollout will be gradual so don’t panic and wait patiently until the update is available for your phone.
The iPhone 4 is probably one of the most beautiful and powerful smartphone out there! but too bad, it is limited to GSM and 3G (did I mention crappy AT&T ?) networks only. The iPhone Dev Team has just updated Redsn0w to version 0.9.5b5-5. Some iPhone users were complaining about MMS and APN issues on their jailbroken iOS 4 devices. Well the good news is that you can now fix this issue with this latest version of Redsn0w. The official change log is as follows.
Yes! I have got iMovie, which is an iPhone 4 exclusive app running almost perfectly on my iPhone 3GS. I did this video just to show that iPhone 3GS is fast, and capable enough to run iMovie. It is just that Apple wants us all to purchase the new iPhone 4 by saying that iPhone 3GS’ hardware is not good enough for this stuff.
Yet another Build of Windows 7 Service Pack 1 Beta has managed to slip through and has landed into the wild just like the previous builds like Build 7601.16537 and Build 7601.16543. This new Build number is 7601.16562.100603-1800 Service Pack 1, v.178 which means that it was compiled on 3rd June 2010.
By now, most of you might have heard rumors about the iOS 4.0.1 firmware update which Apple is preparing to release tomorrow in order to fix the ongoing reception issue on iPhone 4. The best and the most easiest jailbreak tool has just been updated (unofficially?) to bring support for iTunes 9.2. Earlier when Apple released the final version of iTunes 9.2, it broke the compatibility with Spirit and so this new version brings the required fix to make it compatible with iTunes 9.2. However no new feature has been added. It still does not work with iOS 4 and iPhone 4. Only iOS 3.1.3 and 3.1.2 for iPhone 3GS, 3G, 2G, iPod touch, and iOS 3.2 for iPad is supported.
TinyUmbrella has been updated to support iPhone 4 (running iOS 4). It is important to save SHSH Blobs (ECID SHSH) files of your iPhone 4 now because of all the rumors going around regarding a new firmware update, which could be released as early as next week. If you have your SHSH blobs on file, you can downgrade anytime to iOS 4 from iOS 4.01 should you need to.
iWork suite will probably come to iPhones (maybe an iPhone 4 only exclusive like iMovie?) officially sometime this year. But apparently, an iPhone dev/hacker has already managed to get iPad version of Pages up and running on the higher resolution screen of iPhone 4. According to him, he has managed to do this by hacking the info.plist file in iOS 4 and then resigning it.
This is getting ridiculous. I cant believe we are seeing this with Apple’s flagship product. If antenna or yellow spot screen discoloration issues were not enough, there are now reports of unhappy customers who have got new iPhone 4’s with flipped buttons for volume rocker. And moreover, if you press the “-“ button, it will result in increasing of the volume while pressing “+” will result in volume getting quieter.
