Regardless of whether your desktop computer operating system of choice has that Microsoft feel about it, or slants more towards an Apple inspired offering, it's probably fairly accurate to assume that there are things that you would like to change about the aesthetics. Mac OS X is currently enjoying its most successful spell to date with Apple reaping the benefits that come attached with the current surge in user adoption. However, Microsoft is also reporting a recent surge in profits that has a lot to do with the success of Windows 8 since launch.
There is a new tweak out today on the Cydia store which in my opinion is worth checking out. This small and lightweight tweak comes from developer rvirajm and can be thought of as more of a small phone based utility rather than a large functional installation that will greatly enhance the feature set of the iPhone.
Facebook home is certainly the talk of the town right now, both thanks to the recently released HTC First handset and the equally new Facebook Home software release for Android. It's hard not to get just a little bit excited about the prospect of Google Glass hitting the market later this year, but considering the cost of Explorer version, which currently costs $1,500, it's going to be a product many consumers will have to admire from afar. Whatever your thoughts on Windows Phone 8 might be, it's hard to argue that it doesn't hold a lot of potential. In a world where iOS and Android rule the roost, it's refreshing to see something like Windows Phone, whether it's your choice of mobile operating system or not. The undoubted problem with Windows Phone though, is its lack of quality apps.
We're still not entirely sold on digital personal assistants. Apple's Siri and Google's Now are both two of the most famous and arguably, the best digital assistants to be found on any smartphone today. That doesn't mean they're perfect, and we've got our fair share of reasons for that as we suspect most have. With that in mind, the door is still very much open for third party companies to offer something a little different and to make a name for themselves in the process.
