Nokia Working On Android Powered Smartphone After All

Paul Morris·December 11, 2013
A number of sources in the past have suggested that Nokia might’ve been building its own Android powered device to compete with the likes of Samsung and HTC in the lower-end of the smartphone market. At present, It's unknown if the project will ever be officially given the green light to proceed, but it's existence, according to a new report, is enough to peak our interest.

Apple Granted Patent For Curved Displays, Unlikely To Make Its Way To Next iPhone

Ben Reid·December 11, 2013
Every year, a new trend seems to hit the smartphone market, and if it isn't large displays or gold color configurations, then it's the manufacturers' new found love for a curved display. Naturally, Samsung was first to the draw with the Galaxy Round, closely followed by its compatriot LG with the impressive G Flex, and although an iPhone featuring an angled panel would seem quite a way off right now, a newly-awarded patent suggests that the Cupertino company is very much considering it.

Download Android 4.4.2 OTA Update For Nexus 5, 4, 7 And 10 [Direct Links]

Ben Reid·December 11, 2013
The joys of owning a Nexus device, besides from the fact that it's both cheap and great value for that low cost, is that you get the full, uninhibited Android experience as Google intended. As such, when the Big G decides to throw out updates, you're always among the first in line, and those OEM / carrier complications won't leave you waiting for months on end for the latest version. Today, Google has begun releasing Android 4.4.2 KitKat (build number KOT49H) for certain Nexus devices, bringing a bunch of bug fixes and general performance enhancements. More after the break.

White Nexus 7 (2013) Now Available To Buy From Play Store

Oliver Haslam·December 11, 2013
Google's Nexus 7 is still one of the best Android tablets on the market, even after six months of being on the market. With half a year having passed and the competition still unable to topple it from its throne, Google's ASUS-made 7-inch tablet is getting something of a refresh today - but only if you're in the US, UK or Japan.

Official Family Guy Game For iOS And Android Announced

Ben Reid·December 11, 2013
Family Guy, despite its longevity, remains one of the most popular shows on television, and the long-running animated series is finally going to be getting an official mobile game. FOX has joined forces with developer TinyCo to bring the Family Guy iOS / Android title, which has not yet been given an official name, to the App Store and Play Store at some point in 2014, so if you're a fan of the show, it shouldn't be too long before the first official Family Guy game reaches your iOS or Android device.

Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition Announced, For Those Who Can’t Get Enough Of Gold

Ben Reid·December 10, 2013
This year, around July, it emerged that Apple could be introducing a gold, or "champagne" color configuration of its forthcoming smartphone, which we now know to be called the iPhone 5s. At the time, commentators didn't really know what to make of it, but the response, coupled with the lack of availability of the gold model due to huge sales, spoke for them. Samsung already had a stab at bringing out a gold Galaxy S4 (although this was not, the company maintains, a shameless copycat effort), but now, the South Korean outfit has gone one better by taking the wraps off the - drums please - Galaxy S4 Crystal Edition.

How To Sign Into Multiple Accounts At The Same Time On One Website [VIDEO]

Ben Reid·December 10, 2013
To use multiple accounts on one site can be a bit of an arduous task, and really, with all the technology we have at our disposal, the process should be a lot simpler. At present, of all the websites I currently use, Gmail by Google is the only one I can think of that allows seamless switching between accounts, but thanks to a new Chrome extension, you can now easily log in to more than one profile or account with apparent ease.

Download CyanogenMod 11 Screencast App To Record Screen Video The Same Way As You Would Take A Screenshot [VIDEO]

Paul Morris·December 10, 2013
There are a number of reasons why developers and end-users alike would want to take an image of what's on their display, but while screenshots can be useful in certain scenarios they are also very limited. The latest Android KitKat SDK has introduced a way for developers to easily record what’s on the device’s display, but how easy is it for that functionality to feed back to users? Thanks to CyanogenMod 11 and the new screencasting app it's actually very extremely easy - if you meet certain criteria that is.
