Apple Poaches TAG Heuer Sales Director For Its iWatch Smartwatch [Video]

Ben Reid·July 4, 2014
It has long since been suspected that Apple would come through with its very own brand of smartwatch, and this year, there's a genuine feeling that the company will finally bite the bullet and introduce the elusive product. Given Google's announcement of Android Wear at the beginning of the year, followed up at last month's I/O conference with more details and the announcement of Samsung's Gear Live, it would appear crucial that Apple doesn't allow its rivals to much leeway, and with the Cupertino's first major wearable set for release later on in the year, the company has just secured the services of TAG Heuer's Sales Director.

How To Stop Android From Leaking Your Location History Over WiFi

Aatif·July 4, 2014
With as much technology infiltration as we have in our daily lives today, it becomes quite a challenge to truly protect and maintain your privacy and data security. It’s not just the inherent risk with technology and software bugs, either; we willingly expose our personal identification information to a number of parties in order to use their services. Take the newest discovery, for instance, where it has been found out that an Android phone that has its screen turned off and is connected to Wi-Fi network, can actually be actively browsing the user’s location history to anyone who’s interested in listening.

Paul Morris·July 4, 2014
The iPhone 6 is coming, and boy do we know about it. We are currently sitting right at the peak of the speculation and concept stage of the annual release cycle, meaning that each day we can look forward to a new influx of best and educated guesses pertaining to potential device specifications as well as new concept art. There will undoubtedly be an exception to that at some point but today is not that day. Following hot on the heels of yesterday's beautiful iPhone 6 renders from Mark Pelin, we are now seeing a new - albeit very similar - set shown off in multiple colors.

How To Get Android L Theme On Your Smartphone Right Now

Ben Reid·July 4, 2014
Google's new Android L may only be at preview stage, with the fact that it hasn't even been given a proper name yet being a testament to this, but nevertheless, we're already seeing some encouraging signs of improvements that have been made. Namely, the company is shooting for an all-new "Material Design" language, which is set to give the interface a more layered, vibrant feel, and although we're still quite away from the end user release, I'm sure many of you cannot wait to run Android L on your devices. If you don't fancy going ahead and installing the preview on the Nexus 7 or Nexus 5, then thankfully, there's a theme floating about that allows you to achieve a similar look on your current handset.

New Samsung Galaxy S5 TV Ad Makes Fun Of iPhone 5s Battery Life [Video]

Ben Reid·July 3, 2014
Although Apple and Samsung regularly drag one another through the slog of the courtroom in quibbles over patents and whatnot, these two keenest of rivals also like to take digs at each other through advertising. Whether a new product is being released or has been around for several months, both Apple and Samsung like to point out the flaws of their adversary's product lines, and now, the Korean Galaxy maker has taken a pop at the iPhone's battery life.

Facebook Messenger For iPad Finally Available, Get Downloading!

Ben Reid·July 3, 2014
Facebook has, in more recent times, sought to diversify its range of mobile apps, and in doing so, decided to separate the messaging component the official Facebook into a standalone, Facebook Messenger app. The move has worked very much to the benefit of the Facebook experience as a whole, but while the iPhone version has been knocking around for quite a while, the iPad version has been conspicuous by its absence. Now, though, the Menlo Park firm has rolled out a version tailored to Apple's prized tablet, and below, we've got all of the details.

New iPhone 6 Renders Cover Many Never-Before-Seen Details [Images]

Paul Morris·July 3, 2014
The growing list of "iPhone 6" leaked visuals, components and schematics seem to be never-ending at the moment. Rarely does a day go by at the moment without someone claiming to have inside knowledge of Apple's supply chain through which they have extracted the exact design and visuals of the next-generation iPhone. Rarely do these predictions turn out to be true. Still, the annual pre-release dance is always entertaining, bringing with it some beautiful looking concepts and renders from some of the Internet's best designers. The latest visuals, and perhaps the most convincing and aesthetically pleasing yet, come from designer Mark Pelin and aim to incorporate all of the most reputable leaks into one single artist's impression.
