New Redesigned Apple Silicon iMac Could Exceed 27-Inch Size

Ever since Apple axed the iMac Pro, rumors surrounding a new iMac powered by Apple silicone have been swirling around.

We’ve known that this new machine will be a 27-inch one, but now prolific leaker @l0vetodream believes that the new iMac will exceed that size, and actually be Apple’s largest yet.

Picked up by 9to5Mac, it is believed that Apple may be targeting the 32-inch screen real-estate to match the Apple Pro Display XDR. The only time Apple produced a screen larger than a 27-inch in the past was with the Apple Cinema Display which came in at 30-inch, so we might just see this rumor come to fruition.

Going by historical trend, we also expect to see a smaller 21.5-inch iMac as well, but rumors have it that Apple will resize this as well, to a 24-inch display. These gains are possibly being made as a result of the reduced bezels that are expected on these new machines.

A major redesign is also on the cards putting the new iMacs in line with the Pro Display XDR, with some reports suggesting we will see see a splash of new colors as well. Space Gray, Silver, Blue, and Rose Gold to be exact.

The new lineup is expected to be announced soon in the coming months with excitement levels high thanks to Apple using its own custom chips this time around.
