New Photos Of The 5.4-Inch iPhone 12 Display Panel Appear Online

We’re expecting Apple to announce as many as four new iPhones in either September or October and now we might have been treated to a rare hardware leak ahead of that happening.

According to a new post to Chinese social network Weibo and then shared via Twitter, these images show the displays bound for the iPhone 12; at least, the 5.4-inch version.

If this is indeed the 5.4-inch iPhone 12 display, and using the hand shown in the image for reference, it might be the case that the new iPhone(s) will get a smaller notch than the one we’ve become accustomed to in recent years. But it’s difficult to tell – especially in image showing a panel and nothing more.

Apple would normally announce its new iPhones in September, but with the coronavirus pandemic having impacted the company’s usual design and prototyping schedule, it’s thought that things might be pushed back a little.

With that in mind it’s also possible that Apple will hold its usual September iPhone event, but with the handsets not shipping until a matter of weeks later.

As we edge nearer to the iPhone 12 launch it’s likely we will see more leaks of this nature. Hopefully the more we see, the more we will be able to discern. For now, we’re absolutely here for blurry factory spy shots!
