Netatmo’s New HomeKit Video Doorbell Has A Price And Launch Date For Europe

Netatmo has finally announced a release date and price for its new Smart Video Doorbell after first announcing the product in January of 2019. It’ll come to some parts of the world on September 28, but not the United States. Customers in the US will need to wait until an unspecified date to get theirs.

The new video doorbell will sell in the UK for £269.99 with a US price likely to be around the $300 mark.

This is a video doorbell that we’ve been waiting a long time for, and while it will have HomeKit support it’ll be missing one feature we’ve been hoping for – HomeKit Secure Video. You will get the usual two-way audio and 1080p video we expect from a new product in this space, though.

Availability

The Netatmo Smart Video Doorbell can be ordered starting from September 28th on www.netatmo.com and at Amazon, Apple, BT, BOX, Buy It Direct, Maplin and Robert Dyas for £269.99.

Installation is said to be fairly easy if someone is replacing their existing wired doorbell. Netatmo also has an online tool that will allow users to check whether their setup is ready to for the doorbell to be installed.

We’ve been waiting so long for this doorbell that we started to wonder whether it would ever launch. It’s now arriving, so long as you live in the UK and so far, no United States launch date has been announced.
